In light of some major changes in the political landscape and a potential shake-up in how drug and alcohol treatment is managed, this conference provides an opportunity to discuss these changes and get some perspective. We aim to make recommendations for presentation to service providers, opinion formers, decision-makers and policymakers regarding the future shape of treatment and its future direction of travel. The conference will bring together professionals from across a broad spectrum of the voluntary and independent treatment sector, from the public sector and from government and relevant government agencies.

About eATA

eATA is the largest membership organisation for the independent drug and alcohol treatment and aftercare sector. Our aim is to ensure that people with substance dependencies get the treatment they need. We work with providers, referrers, commissioners and policymakers to improve access and quality in the sector. Through our presence on working groups and at consultation events, eATA is able to continually raise the concerns and needs of the independent sector.

A. Commissioning and tendering guidelines an insight into tendering and procurement – Tips and advice on how to navigate the commissioning process and how to write an effective tender with some examples of good and bad tender documents. In light of the recent changes the changing commissioning landscape will also be covered, which is being proposed by the new government

B. An insight into working with RELS (recovery, engagement and life skills, ITEP and BTEI) – Blenheim CDP will share their experiences of working with ITEP, background on ITEP and a case study on where it has worked for clients.
