The CD-rom contains 10 PDFs of suggested model answers for the assessment questions contained in the learner’s workbook for unit HSC 3048: Support Individuals at the End of Life. For the purposes of information and guidance the author has produced these suggested model answers. The answers are not exhaustive and if the learner does not use all of the answers it does not mean that they are not correct. In addition, the learner may use examples that are not contained within the model answers. The person marking assignments should use their own knowledge and discretion when marking learners’ assignments.

The learner and their vocational assessor should use the workbook to demonstrate some, or all of, the unit’s learning outcomes. The learner workbooks may be used to demonstrate knowledge and performance in a real working environment. Wherever possible the learner should be encouraged to relate the answers in the workbook to their work experiences. Therefore, the confidentiality of service users should be maintained at all times. Initials should be used to protect service users’ confidentiality and anyone else who may be affected.
